Get into Heaven Test

tree

Which one of these answers would most likley describe your reason for why God should let you in to heaven when you die?

  1. I’m a good person.

  2. I’ve never murdered anyone.

  3. I’ve been baptized.

  4. I go to church every week.

  5. I belive in God.

  6. I’m a good parent, citizen and spouse.

  7. I’m a sinner, but I’m not that bad.

  8. All of the above.

If your answer is yes to all of the above, you will not be good enough to get into heaven when you die.

The Bible clearly says that we CAN know for sure Heaven will be our home when we die and tells us how to get there, but if you think any of those above answers will get you through the gate, you will be sorely disappointed.

Here are four things you must know and believe in order to go to heaven when you die:

You can KNOW you will be in heaven when you die!

(1John 5:13a)  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life…”

The Bible clearly says we “can know” that we will have eternal life. God does not want it to be a guessing game with our souls.

  1. WE HAVE ALL SINNED

(Romans 3:23)  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Sin is breaking God’s laws. We are sinners by nature. No matter how hard we try to be perfect, the Bible says we all fall short. All means ALL. No one is perfect. I think any honest person could agree to this.

       2. WE OWE A PENALTY FOR OUR SIN

(Romans 6:23a) “For the wages of sin is death…”

A wage is something that is earned. We don’t just have death coming to us; we have earned it. Beacause of our sin, we have earned death. Now this is not just a physical death; it is also a spiritual death. A separation from God. The Bible speaks of the second death.

(Revelation 20:14-15) “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

When we stand before God on judgment day, there is only one thing that will matter, and that is knowing if your name is in the book of life. If it is, you will get into heaven. If it’s not, you will be cast into the lake of fire. How you lived your life or what church you attended will have no bearing on wheather or not you get into heaven. The only thing that will matter at that point is that your name is in the book of life. Keep reading to find out how to get your name in that book.

3. JESUS PAID THE PRICE SO THAT WE NOW HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO GO TO HEAVEN.

(Rom 6:23)  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

(Joh 3:16)  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

(Rom 5:8)  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

A little over two thousand years ago, God sent His Son to earth to die on a cross to pay the price for man’s salvation. Jesus died on the cross to pay our penalty. Our sin has to be paid for. Either we can pay for it ourselves in hell, or we can accept Christ’s payment on the cross for us.

I like that the Bible calls eternal life a gift. That means it’s free. If it said reward, we would have to do some kind of work to get it, but Jesus already did the “work” for us on the cross. Below is how you recieve God’s free gift of salvation.

      4. WE MUST RECEIVE GOD’S FREE GIFT OF SALVATION.

(Rom 10:13)  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

(Rom 10:9)  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

(Rom 10:10)  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Whosoever means anyone. You could put your name there. For if (insert your name) shall call upon the name of the Lord (insert your name) shall be saved. We must call on the name of the Lord Jesus for salvation. “Shall be saved” is a promise. It does not say maybe or might; it says shall.

You must believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. The Bible says “…except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Lk. 13:5). That simply means a change of mind. You must change from whatever it was that you thought could get you to heaven (repent) and place that trust in Christ alone for salvation.

Then you must ask Jesus to save you. You can believe it in your head ’til the sun goes down, but until you ask(call upon his name) Jesus to save your soul from hell, you aren’t saved.

If Jesus is willing to save you just as you are, would you be willing to place your faith and trust in Him for your eternal destiny? If your answer is yes, why don’t you ask him to save you today?

Pray a prayer somthing like this if you believe everything I just showed you:

Dear Jesus, I know I’m a sinner. I know that I deserve to go to hell for my sins. I understand that I need you in order to go to heaven. I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the dead to pay for my sins. I’m asking you, Jesus, to save me. I’m trusting you alone to take me to heaven when I die. Thank you for saving me! Amen!
